How do I frame your artwork?
Here’s a guide based on the medium:
- Paper: All paper artworks require framing.
- Canvas Board: These also need to be framed.
- Stretched Canvas: Ready to hang straight from the box. Or you can add a floating frame to your piece at a local framing shop.
- Unstretched Canvas: This is shipped and rolled in a tube; it can be stretched at any framing shop.
What materials do you use?
I primarily use acrylic paints on canvas, canvas board, paper, or wood, sometimes mixed with pastels, stabile woodies or impasto mediums.
Do you offer art classes?
I do not currently offer classes. However, you can follow my creative process on Pinterest for updates and insights.
Do you have a fine art degree?
My qualifications are in design and communications, and I’ve spent much of my career in product development and innovation. Whilst fulfilling, creating products based on market demand is not the same as creating from intuitively. During my design undergrad, I really enjoyed exploring various painting and drawing mediums, and it’s been a privilege to reconnect with these creative outlets. Through Journey to Neptune, I explore, unwind, and mentally escape, using art as a pathway to express myself more freely.
What sustainability practices does your studio follow?
For wood-based artworks, I use reclaimed Australian hardwood wherever possible. Shipping is provided in recycled paper mailers, tubes, and packaging, and alternative packaging such as strong bubble wrap and resealable bags is only used when necessary for extra protection. In most instances, materials are sourced locally within the community from Australian-based art suppliers.
Can I return an artwork if I change my mind?
- Original Art: I offer a 7-day change of mind policy. The artwork must be returned in its original condition and packaging within 3 days of notifying me of the return. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. A refund will be processed within 7 business days of receiving the returned artwork.
- Commissioned Art: Commissioned pieces are not eligible for returns or refunds, as they are custom-made to your specifications.
- Prints: I offer a 7-day change of mind policy for prints. You may exchange your print for another of equal value, with return postage at your expense.
To initiate a return, please contact me with your order number and tracking details, and I will guide you through the process.
What if my artwork arrives damaged?
I carefully inspect each piece before shipping, but in the unlikely event that your item arrives damaged:
- Contact me within 24 hours of receiving your order.
- Provide a clear description of the damage and photos showing:
- The damaged item
- The packaging
- The shipping label
- I will assess the claim and either replace the artwork or issue a refund.
If your parcel arrives with visible signs of damage, I recommend rejecting the delivery, so it is returned to me for a replacement.
Journey to Neptune is not responsible for any damage that occurs after delivery, such as mishandling in your home.
